Step Three: Acquire a notable guard this offseason
It is well-documented that the Miami Heat want to find a third option to pair with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo this offseason. In free agency, guys like Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley could be on Miami’s radar.
On the other hand, the Heat may need to trade for one of the guards they are interested in getting. Bradley Beal’s future with the Washington Wizards is unknown while CJ McCollum could be headed elsewhere in a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers.
Luckily for the Heat, they have Tyler Herro and other assets to move in exchange for an All-Star caliber player.
It would be ideal for Miami to be able to sign someone like Lowry and be able to keep Herro in the process, allowing him to involve him in a trade that could get them another star player.

Regardless of how they get it done, the Heat would benefit greatly if they are able to make a splash move at one of their guard spots in free agency or on the trade market.
