Step One: Decline the team options for Iguodala and Dragic

With weeks to go until free agency begins, the Miami Heat have likely compiled a list of players that they are going to heavily pursue. But prior to Miami’s pitches to free agents, the front office will need to decide the future of a couple of players on the roster.

Ahead of free agency, both Andre Iguodala and Goran Dragic have team options that the Heat could choose to accept or decline.

Iguodala has a $15 million team option for next season and he’s seen his role diminish in the past year, making it an easy decision for Miami.

As for Dragic, while he’s held a prominent role with the team over the years, injuries have become a concern in recent seasons. The experienced point guard possesses an $18 million team option for next season.
