Step Two: Re-sign Duncan Robinson
Besides being able to pursue free agents or trade pieces, the Miami Heat could use some of the money from Iguodala and Dragic’s declined options to retain one of their own key contributors.
Duncan Robinson is a restricted free agent for Miami, along with Kendrick Nunn. While Nunn is poised to sign elsewhere in free agency, the Heat would be making a mistake by letting Robinson walk. It’s not the easiest thing to replace one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA.
In the past two seasons, Robinson has proven to be invaluable for Miami, recording 13.3 points on 42.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
Given his ability to knock down threes at an efficient clip and maneuver around screens to garner the attention of defenses, Robinson is going to drum up interest from teams.

It would be wise for the Heat to do everything in their power to bring back Robinson, who became the fastest player to 500 made threes this season.
