Bulls Will Trade Zach LaVine For A Bunch Of NBA Draft Picks
There has been a lot of rumors this offseason centered around Zach LaVine and his future with the Chicago Bulls. He is under contract through the 2021-22 NBA season and has been the Bulls’ leading scorer for the last 2.5 years, but if the Bulls get the right offer at the trade deadline for him, they will likely be willing to move on from the high-flying wing.
Draft picks is the Bulls biggest need as an organization right now, as they try to solidify a core of young talent for the future. With a fair amount of youthful talent already and some draft picks to work with over the next few years, the Chicago Bulls could be in a position to land a big-time, All-Star level talent via trade if they acquire a few more draft picks.
By trading Zach LaVine, the Chicago Bulls would be giving up a lot of scoring offensively, but moving LaVine would free up a lot of playing time for some of their other young players, such as Patrick Williams, Chandler Hutchison and Denzel Valentine, for this organization to figure out who can be included in their plans long-term. They may even be able to flip Zach LaVine for a solidified All-Star talent like Kevin Love or Blake Griffin.
Whatever the Bulls decide to do in terms of their core moving forward, it does not appear that Zach LaVine is in their plans long-term, which could result in him being traded at this upcoming season’s trade deadline. While it would result in the Bulls suffering a few more losing seasons, trading away Zach LaVine for a few first-round draft picks could go a long way in making this team successful for the future.
