Billy Donovan Will Coach Bulls To 30+ Wins This Season

In every season he has been a head coach at the NBA level, Billy Donovan has never had below 44-wins in a season and while he was with Florida, he only had 3 losing seasons in 19 years as the head coach of the Gators’ program. While the Chicago Bulls have struggled over the years and have not had over 27 wins since the 2016-17 season, Donovan will have this team ready to compete this season.

This Chicago Bulls team will look a lot different than it has over the years and while they may still come up short of making the playoffs, they will finish with well over 30-wins on the season. They may even surprise a lot of people and finish with a 36-36 record this year.

Billy Donovan is a very successful coach and given his track record with younger players in the NBA, he will wind up being the most successful head coach in Bulls’ history since Phil Jackson in the 90’s. Tom Thubodeau had a lot of success from 2010-2015 with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler, but never reached the expectations they should have.

In year one, Billy Donovan will set the standard for what Chicago Bulls basketball will look like over the course of the next several years and will finally get this team back to competing at a high-level in no time. They have the young talent and now the head coach to be a team to watch in the Eastern Conference and while they still need to figure a few more things out roster wise before being a legit threat, they could very well surprise a lot of people this year by finishing with 30+ wins on the season.
