1. Aaron Nesmith, Vanderbilt
Nesmith was the best shooter in the nation last season. The concern is that it came in a small sample size. Nesmith was not a great shooter as a freshman, but turned it around as a sophomore.
Nesmith played just 14 games, but his three-point stats are eye-popping. He shot 52.2% from deep on 8.2 attempts per game. Nesmith played just half of the season and most of the games were out of conference.
Either way, the basket is the same. Nesmith is a projected lottery pick in the NBA Draft because he does many things well on the floor. His shooting ability increased significantly from one year to the next. He is a good defender and can create off the dribble. Nesmith can shoot off-the-dribble or get all the way to the rim.
The Vanderbilt product will be an immediate contributor to the team that drafts him. His skill-set will translate nicely to the NBA.
