4. Saddiq Bey, Villanova
Villanova will be returning all players for this season except one very important one. Bey decided to leave after his sophomore season and declare for the NBA Draft.
At the beginning of the year, this was not likely, but Bey has climbed up draft boards because of his performance last season and his size.
Bey increased his production from the three-point line a ton from his first season. Bey shot 45.1% from deep on 5.6 attempts per contest. Villanova is a team that shoots at a high clip and likes to play fast.
That fits into Bey’s game. At 6-foot-8, Bey has a 6’10 wingspan and can defend well along the perimeter. He was the Wildcats’ best defender last season. Bey has an extremely quick release and can shoot off the dribble. He has blossomed into a first-round pick and potential lottery selection.
The way he improved is what makes Bey such a hot prospect. During his freshman year, Bey was a 37.4% three-point shooter on 3.6 attempts per game. He worked and made it a lethal part of his game. Bey is a player who will transfer nicely into the NBA.
