Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets are in the earlier stages of a rebuild, but they should be on the lookout to start adding some established talent to the roster. There are a ton of high-upside young players on this roster and their development would be sped up with an infusion of talent around them.
When it comes to young players that have flashed immense upside hitting the market, the Rockets have to be mentioned as a potential suitor. When it is a player capable of playing point guard and running the offense as Jordan Poole, the match is a strong one.
Houston seems content running Kevin Porter Jr. out as the starting point guard for at least one more season, but that experiment hasn’t yielded the strongest of results for the Rockets. Jordan Poole would be a sizable upgrade on him and given their salary cap situation, they will have plenty of money to spend.
If the Golden State Warriors are hesitant about handing a max contract to Poole, the Houston Rockets could force their hand. Knocking on the door of All-Star level production, Houston would benefit greatly from the addition of Poole.

If Eric Gordon is traded, there is a chance that the oldest rotation player for the Houston Rockets this season is only 26. Poole would fit that timeline as a 23-year-old but would bring some playoff and championship experience that the roster severely lacks.
