3 Potential Jordan Poole Suitors To Monitor Long-Term

Jordan Poole, Golden State Warriors, NBA Trade Rumors

The Golden State Warriors won the 2022 NBA Finals. One of the things that come as a result of winning is that opposing teams want your players. The Warriors have experienced some losses this offseason as other franchises around the league poached their free agents.

Otto Porter Jr. was signed away by the Toronto Raptors while the Portland Trail Blazers signed Gary Payton II to a three-year deal. While Golden State would have loved to keep all of the players that helped them win their fourth title in eight seasons, it sometimes isn’t feasible to keep everyone.

While the Warriors seem to have bottomless pockets, it does get very expensive retaining entire rosters. They are going to face another dilemma soon as they could be forced to choose between Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole.

Wiggins is going to be a free agent in 2023, while the same could be said about Poole. It all depends on what happens this offseason, as Poole is eligible for a rookie extension. If no deal is reached before the first day of the regular season, Poole will be a restricted free agent next summer.

That is something that could occur as Golden State may opt to see if Poole’s ascension this season was legitimate or not. He flashed All-Star level of play and was great throughout the postseason, something he and his representatives will use to argue for receiving a max contract.

If the Warriors want more evidence of that, they would run the risk of potentially losing him in free agency. Where could Poole end up if it got to that point?

Let’s take a look at three potential Jordan Poole suitors to monitor long-term.
