Washington Wizards
Is there a chance that D’Angelo Russell could take over as a point guard within an offense? He has been playing many of his minutes as the shooting guard but could move back to the top next to Bradley Beal.
The Washington Wizards will have to decide their plan for Beal in the offseason. They’ve been a rebuilding team for years now, but the Wizards seem always to make a big move to add pieces next to Beal.
First, it was Russell Westbrook. He was traded for Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope before Kristaps Porzingis came over at the deadline.
Russell could be the next piece of the puzzle — giving the Wizards a core of Beal and Russell in the backcourt with Porzingis patrolling down low. Kuzma would lead the way in this deal, and Caldwell-Pope could also be thrown in.

The Wizards have not been a win-now team since the prime years of Beal and John Wall. A trade for Russell is not a deal that will take them back into championship consideration but it should keep the team competitive for the time being.
