#4 DeMar DeRozan & Zach LaVine – Chicago Bulls

It may be a surprise to some to see the Chicago Bulls having as much success as they are, but it should not really be too shocking. They have an All-Star trio in Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, but the duo of DeRozan and LaVine has truly been special this season.

Some called DeMar DeRozan going to the Bulls in the offseason the “worst free agent signing of the offseason,” but this has been far from the truth and quite honestly, DeRozan going to the Bulls may have been the greatest move made this past offseason!

Now in his 13th NBA season, DeMar DeRozan is having a career-year, averaging 28.1 points (career-high), 5.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists and is shooting 51.7% from the floor, 34.3% from three-point range (career-high).

From being a primary scorer to being the main facilitator on the Bulls, DeRozan has been the one to carry Chicago up the Eastern Conference standings and he currently has them tied at the top of the conference standings with the Miami Heat.

DeMar DeRozan has played himself into the MVP conversation this season, but Zach LaVine has also had a massive impact on the Chicago Bulls once again.

Now being named an All-Star in back-to-back seasons, LaVine has continued to use his athleticism to his advantage but has also turned himself into one of the better three-point shooting threats in the league.

There really is no way to guard LaVine because if you guard him too closely on the perimeter, he will blow past you and end up finding his way onto SportCenter’s Top-10 plays with a massive dunk. However, if you do not guard Zach LaVine close enough on the perimeter, he will simply rise up and drain a three-pointer, as he is shooting 39.9% from deep this season.

The combo of DeRozan and LaVine has combined to average 52.7 points per game on the season, the highest out of any duo in the entire NBA.

Continue sleeping on the Bulls at your own risk because these guys are playing with a chip on their shoulders and could very well make a run to the Eastern Conference Finals this season.
