#1 Chris Paul & Devin Booker – Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns reached the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993 last season and while they fell to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games, Chris Paul and Devin Booker cemented themselves as the best duo in the entire league.
Chris Paul has drawn a lot of criticism in his career for not being “a winner” and not having a ring, but everywhere he has gone, Paul has turned things around for his franchise.
With the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets franchise, Paul took his team to the Western Conference Semifinals for the first time in franchise history in 2008 and they won 56 games that year, the most in Hornets/Pelicans history.
When he went to the Los Angeles Clippers, Chris Paul made the All-Star Game for five consecutive seasons and took the Clippers to the playoffs for six consecutive years after missing the playoffs for five consecutive seasons prior.

In his first year with the Rockets, Chris Paul alongside James Harden helped the Rockets win a franchise-record 65 games and then with the Thunder, Paul took a rebuilding team that had no playoff hopes entering the season to the playoffs in the NBA Bubble.
One of the greatest point guards of all time, Chris Paul has won everywhere he has been, he just does not have a ring yet. This season, the “Point God” is averaging 14.9 points, a league-high 10.7 assists, 1.9 steals and is shooting 48.7% from the floor. Paul has also recorded 31 double-doubles on the season, ranking him 6th in the league.
Alongside Chris Paul, Devin Booker has been one of the best pure scoring weapons in the NBA, averaging 25.6 points per game since Paul joined the Suns last season. Booker currently ranks tied for 10th in the league in scoring this season and alongside Chris Paul, the Suns’ backcourt currently ranks first in the league in combined assists per game at 15.2 assists.
LATEST NBA NEWS: Can Harden, Embiid Duo Lead Sixers To The NBA Finals?
Phoenix is currently an NBA-best 48-10 on the season and they have their sights set on setting a new franchise-record for wins in a single season, which currently sits at 62 wins during the 1992-93 and 2004-05 seasons.
The Suns should be considered the favorites to win the NBA Finals this season and while players like Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder also deserve a lot of credit for the success of this team, they would be nothing without the play of Chris Paul and Devin Booker.
There may be better overall duos in the NBA right now, but none of them have had the high, long-lasting impact that Chris Paul and Devin Booker have had in Phoenix.
