#2 Kevin Durant & Kyrie Irving – Brooklyn Nets

This one is going to draw a lot of criticism, but when Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are healthy and on the floor together, they are virtually impossible to stop. 

Two of the greatest scorers at their position over the last decade, Durant and Irving alone are good enough to win a championship together. The only problem with the Nets right now is that they are not healthy and Kyrie Irving is limited to the number of games he can play due to vaccine mandates in New York City. 

Talent-wise though, Durant is arguably the greatest scorer in the NBA since Michael Jordan and Kyrie Irving may have the best handles in NBA history. On any given night, either of these All-Stars can go for 40-plus points and they can do so with ease! 

Kevin Durant has only played in 36 games this season and Kyrie Irving has only played in 14 games, but the two All-Stars are combining to average 53.4 points per game, which would make them the best scoring duo in the league if they had more games under their belts.

The Brooklyn Nets have quickly turned into the biggest “what if” storyline in the NBA with the departure of James Harden, resulting in the Nets’ “Big 3” only playing in a total of 16 games together, but there is still a lot of hope within this organization that Durant and Irving can lead them to the NBA Finals. 

Now with Ben Simmons in the mix, the Nets have three All-Star talents, along with key secondary scorers in Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and LaMarcus Aldridge.

If we can actually see them play together on the floor this season, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving should be able to prove that they are the best scoring duo in this league, but Durant’s knee injury and Irving being unvaccinated could limit their overall potential.
