The Rockets are rebuilding right now and while Tobias Harris could wind up being a key leader next to young talents like Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr., he would be an excellent salary match to someone like John Wall.

While he has not played at all this season, Wall continues to work with the Houston Rockets to find a way to move him and the $91.6M remaining on his contract, but it is very hard for any team in the league to absorb this kind of contract.

Teams have inquired about John Wall and have expressed interest in him should the team buy him out of his current contract, but $44M is a lot to take on in a midseason trade.

The only way John Wall could be traded this season is if the Los Angeles Lakers or the Philadelphia 76ers were involved in a deal because they have the necessary salary matchers of Russell Westbrook ($44.2M), Ben Simmons ($33M) and Tobias Harris ($35.9M) to make the trade work.

Should the 76ers actually have a level of interest in John Wall, they could acquire him in a multi-team deal that would send Ben Simmons somewhere else and Tobias Harris to Houston.

Seeing as they are rebuilding, maybe the Rockets would not want to be tied down to a long-term contracts such as that of Harris, but he would give them a high-level talent to play through and a core of Porter Jr., Green, Harris, Tate and Wood are definitely a promising group.
