Good Trade Destination — Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers may have one of the worst records in the Eastern Conference, but a big part of that has to do with their inability to win one possession games. If the team modernized it’s lineup by swapping out a center for a four like Jerami Grant, could their fortunes change?
Jerami Grant would remain a pivotal part of the half-court offense if the Pacers were to move a center in order to acquire him. If Myles Turner were to remain, Grant would be able to benefit from the spacing that he provides as a stretch-five.
Now, if Domantas Sabonis were to be the center that remains for the Pacers, Grant could take part in a two-man game in DHOs and pick-and-roll sequences. Meanwhile, Grant’s defensive versatility would help to cover up the lack of impact Sabonis offers on that end.
The Pacers still would lack the necessary star power to win at the highest of levels in the Eastern Conference after a trade for Grant, but there would be real progress made.

The Pacers would no longer have to rely on waiting for TJ Warren to return to the lineup, who still doesn’t have much fo a timetable for return. If he does come back, that’s quite a boost in wing scoring punch by adding Grant and getting Warren back into the fold.
