Best Trade Destination — Utah Jazz

One of the keys for an ideal trade destination for Jerami Grant includes the outlook for him to still be a prominent member of the half-court offense. Being able to do so while winning games at a high level? That’s all the better and would be what he gets with the Utah Jazz.

Donovan Mitchell is the clear-cut top option for the Jazz but Grant could be a secondary option alongside him — forming an intriguing one-two punch out on the perimeter.

With Mitchell only 25-years-old and Grant being 27-years-old, the two players could form an intriguing tandem for the Jazz for years to come. Keep in mind, Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles both are well over 30-years-old.

One of the limitations the Jazz currently face holding them back is a lack of proficient on-ball defenders to contain dribble penetration. Having Grant serve as the low-man in help defense as well as being a very switch-friendly option with Gobert anchoring the paint would be intriguing.

The Jazz already are one of the top teams in the Western Conference but could use another key talent to be able to take them over the top. Meanwhile, Grant could benefit from getting the job done on a top team, but this time, he’d be well beyond a ‘3-and-D’ role.
