Worst Trade Destination — Los Angeles Lakers
In the event the Los Angeles Lakers were to pull off an unlikely Jerami Grant trade, it would be without including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, or Russell Westbrook in a deal.
For a player in Grant’s position who left the Denver Nuggets to sign with a Pistons team who sorely needed someone to step up and fill a star role, being sent to an even more congested contender like the Lakers would be the opposite of what he initially sought.
The Lakers would have the option of playing Anthony Davis full-time at the center position while always having one of LeBron James or Jerami Grant on the floor at the power forward spot at all times.
Having such lineup versatility would be a genuinely intriguing option for the Lakers, but again, it remains to be seen how the theoretical options would trickle into reality.

Grant would not get the ball nearly as often playing with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook. The Lakers could win at a much higher level by adding Grant but still would have an underwhelming supporting cast around their stars.
