RJ Barrett averages 18+ PPG and shoots over 40% from three again
The New York Knicks have to be more than pleased by what they saw from Barrett in his sophomore season in 2020-21.
After a decent rookie campaign, Barrett was spectacular this past season, registering 17.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and three assists per game while knocking down 40.1 percent of his threes.
Barrett benefitted from the extra playing time under Thibodeau and he excelled alongside Randle as the go-to scorers in the starting lineup.
While Barrett went cold in the playoffs, the 21-year-old will improve once more next season by eclipsing 18 points per game and he will shoot over 40 percent from three-point range again.

If Barrett can put together another stellar season, the Knicks will have no choice but to sign him to an extension in the near future.
