Derrick Rose outscores Kemba Walker off of the bench
Early in free agency, it seemed as if the New York Knicks wanted to do everything they can to keep the majority of their roster intact.
Rose was one of the players who the team retained this offseason, and he figures to have a marquee role off the bench due to the Walker signing.
In 35 games with New York last season, Rose posted 14.9 points per game on 41.1 percent shooting from outside.
While he isn’t the explosive player he once was with the Chicago Bulls, Rose has evolved into an uberly efficient point guard that has recorded 16.9 points and 4.7 assists per game while producing a 51.7 percent effective field-goal percentage and a modest 35.3 percent conversion rate from deep.

Given his efficiency, there’s a chance that Rose can still outscore Walker next season, even as he comes off of the bench.
