You could venture to say that the New York Knicks put together a successful season in 2020-21 despite a first-round exit in the NBA playoffs.

The Knicks made their first playoff appearance since the 2012-13 campaign, and they secured the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Following their positive season, New York focused on retaining a majority of their players in free agency, re-signing Alec Burks, Derrick Rose, Nerlens Noel, and Taj Gibson.

While the Knicks proceeded to lose Reggie Bullock to the Dallas Mavericks in free agency, they did manage to get Evan Fournier from the Boston Celtics, along with signing Kemba Walker after he was bought out by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
