Mitchell Robinson is traded to a new team
There was a chance that we were going to get a glimpse of how the organization felt about Mitchell Robinson moving forward.
By re-signing Noel to a multi-year deal, it goes to show that the New York Knicks are hesitant to commit to Robinson long-term, especially due to his injury woes.
Robinson is an efficient scorer and rim protector, but he’s had trouble remaining healthy in his first three seasons in the NBA.
Given the fact that Robinson is a free agent in 2022, there could be talks of a trade in the upcoming season.

Instead of signing him to a new deal next offseason, the Knicks elect to move on from Robinson during the regular season as they move forward with Noel, Randle, Gibson, and Obi Toppin in their frontcourt.
