Sacramento Kings: Buddy Hield
The Sacramento Kings should be viewed as a team that is open for business this offseason. Sacramento is evidently attempting to build around their guard duo of De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton. Besides Harrison Barnes and Marvin Bagley, the Kings could be open to offers for Buddy Hield.
Hield would be a coveted player on the trade market due to his outside shot making and his ability to score in a variety of ways. With Fox and Haliburton projected to see expanded roles next season, Hield could see his role decline with the Kings, making him a player that Sacramento should consider offloading in the coming weeks.
San Antonio Spurs: DeMar DeRozan
Ahead of free agency, it seems inevitable that DeMar DeRozan is going to be leaving the San Antonio Spurs. DeRozan appears to be keen on finding a new place to call home after operating as a small-ball power forward this season.
With the Spurs being a team that hasn’t been able to lure big-name free agents in years, they should consider opening talks on a sign-and-trade for DeRozan. Given the interest that DeRozan is expected to garner on the open market, San Antonio could get a decent return for the All-Star wing.
Utah Jazz: Rudy Gobert
The Utah Jazz were poised for a title run this season as the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Despite the team’s success in the regular season, the Jazz would fail to take down the Clippers in the Conference Semi-Finals, even with Kawhi Leonard sidelined for the final couple of games in the series.

If the Jazz want to take the next step, they need to reevaluate Rudy Gobert’s future with the franchise. While Gobert is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, he doesn’t bring enough on the offensive end to warrant keeping him long-term. And with Donovan Mitchell being the franchise cornerstone, it’s time to move Gobert to get Mitchell a new running mate.
