Houston Rockets: John Wall
There are a few different directions the Houston Rockets can take this offseason. Houston finished with the worst record in the NBA this season, securing the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Reports suggest that the Rockets could attempt to trade for the No. 1 overall pick in hopes to land Cade Cunningham.
Regardless of what Houston does in the draft, John Wall should be a player the franchise considers moving to another team. Wall was traded to the Rockets before this season, but he doesn’t fit the long-term plans of the organization. Also, Wall would probably welcome a trade to get off of a team that doesn’t have playoff aspirations in the near future.
Los Angeles Clippers: Luke Kennard
The entire offseason could be vastly different if Kawhi Leonard elects to decline his player option, giving him an opportunity to sign wherever he wants. While Leonard is expected to miss part of the start of next season due to his knee ailment, I expect him to be back with the Los Angeles Clippers. But with Leonard and Paul George remaining as the team’s All-Star duo, the Clippers need another go-to option.
Luke Kennard is one of the only viable trade pieces that Los Angeles has on their roster right now. Even though Kennard played a career-low 19.6 minutes per game in his first year with the Clippers this season, he did shoot a career-best 44.6 percent from beyond the arc.
Los Angeles Lakers: Kyle Kuzma
In recent years, Kyle Kuzma has been at the center of trade rumors surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers. Some of the NBA trade rumors subsided when Kuzma inked a three-year, $39 million extension with the Lakers before this season.

However, after another season where he showed inconsistency off of the bench, it’s time for Los Angeles to move Kuzma elsewhere to acquire a player that can give them better production. Kuzma, who turns 26 years old in July, could draw interest from teams that believe he could reach his potential if he were to receive a larger role than he’s seen with the Lakers.
