This could be the offseason where we finally see the Portland Trail Blazers split up their duo. This has been a staple of NBA trade rumors for a long time now but they have not been able to pull the trigger. In the offseason, either Damian Lillard or CJ McCollum could be moved.

In this particular deal, Lillard would be sent away in a huge blockbuster. There are beginning to be talks about Lillard wanting out of Portland. If he requests a trade, it is likely that he will be moved. Otherwise the Blazers would not have interest in trading one of the top players in the league.

Lillard has been linked to many teams, such as the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks, but the Blazers could send him back Eastern Conference and to a team looking to build.

That team would be the Washington Wizards. Last year, the Wizards made a blockbuster deal involving point guards and another one could be on the way. Washington sent John Wall to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook joined Bradley Beal in the backcourt of the Wizards and they were able to make a run in the second half of the season to grab the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. This might not be the arrangement that will work long term for Washington and they could be looking for another big trade.

This is one of the biggest that any team could make. If Lillard is involved, it will be big news around the league. Here is what this potential NBA trade scenario centered around Damian Lillard might look like once the playoffs are complete.
