Draymond Green’s future with the team
Draymond Green has always been the “heart and soul” of the Golden State Warriors and with Klay Thompson out this year, he stepped up for the Warriors, but did something no player in NBA history had ever done before.

Green became the first player in NBA History to have more rebounds and assists than points during the course of the regular season. He finished the season with 449 rebounds and 558 assists compared to 444 points.
The way Draymond impacts the game for the Warriors brings just as much of an impact as star players make on their teams across the league, but the thing that makes Green so important to the Warriors is that he does this on both ends of the court.
Not only does he make a difference offensively by being a key disruptor and point-guard at the power-forward position, but Green was one of three finalists for this year’s Defensive Player of the Year award and is going to be named to the NBA’s All-Defense team for the 6th time in his career.
Moving forward, Green is going to continue being a facilitator on offense and the best defensive player on this team, but Golden State is going to need more from him scoring wise and he knows that. There have been rumors in the past that the Warriors had received offers on a potential Draymond Green trade, but right now, it does not seem like that is in Bob Myers’ agenda for this offseason.
Golden State is excited about what the future has to offer them in terms of competing for more championships and Draymond Green is just as important to this team in that aspect as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are.
