Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: PG Eric Bledsoe, 2021 second-round pick (via Cleveland Cavaliers)

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: SF Cedi Osman, F Taurean Prince

Eric Bledsoe was the return for the New Orleans Pelicans when Jrue Holiday was sent to the Milwaukee Bucks. He is not part of the long-term plan for New Orleans and they could be looking to move him in the offseason. If they do, the return will not be large but it would be worth it to get some strong rotation players in the locker room.

There were plenty of times throughout the 2020-21 NBA season when Bledsoe outright did not appear to be a cohesive fit with the Pelicans. With the need to decide on the long-term future of Lonzo Ball with the organization and having recently drafted Kira Lewis Jr., there just isn’t a need to keep Bledsoe.

Cedi Osman and Taurean Prince could be those rotation players. New Orleans would send Bledsoe and a second-round pick to Cleveland in return. This would give both teams some more options on both ends of the floor.

Let’s take a look and see how this offseason NBA trade scenario centered around Eric Bledsoe would benefit both the Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans.
