Why this trade would benefit the New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans clearly have their core in place and will be working to improve the rest of the rotation moving forward. There have already been some moves out of New Orleans and this could be another one on the table. The Pelicans could feel like they are close to competing in the Western Conference with the pieces they already have in place.

A quick rebuild could take them to the next level. We saw New Orleans trade Jrue Holiday in the offseason followed by JJ Redick at the NBA trade deadline. They were in rumors because of the veterans they have on the roster. Eric Bledsoe is not part of the long-term plan and this means that he could be next.
When looking at Cedi Osman and Taurean Prince, they are capable rotation players that would bring a new dynamic to the team. Osman has been able to improve during his time in Cleveland and he would benefit from a greater role.
New Orleans still has some work to do but their dynamic duo has them in a decent position to rebuild. It will be interesting to see how the front office decides to reshape the roster moving forward.
