Why this trade benefits the Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been featured in NBA trade rumors and it is because they have some veterans that they wanted to send away. It worked out when the team agreed to a buyout with Andre Drummond and he ended up in Los Angeles.

Kevin Love is another big name that was featured but he is still in Cleveland. It seems likely that Sexton will be around long term and Darius Garland could be the other half of a duo.
If Cleveland wants to add some depth and experience in a young backcourt, Bledsoe could be a name to keep an eye on. He is a veteran player that would not be much of a risk for Cleveland. There was NBA rumors about some members of the team had problems with Sexton throughout the season and this is an instance where a young team could be in need of a leader.
Eric Bledsoe could be that at the point-guard position. This is not a deal that will turn Cleveland into championship contenders but it is a cheap deal that would land them a strong player at the top of the offseason.
Cedi Osman has great value at the moment and the Cavaliers could look to take advantage. It will be interesting to see which direction they go because Cleveland could have a ton of options once the postseason is complete.
