1. Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks took the next step and made the postseason during the restart. At the beginning of 2020’s calendar year, they made a big move in acquiring Kristaps Porzingis from the Knicks. Now, they are looking to add another star to their Latvian big man and Luka Doncic.

Zach LaVine is sitting right there. This would be an extremely fun team to watch. Dallas could part ways with players like Delon Wright and Dwight Powell to make it work.

Draft picks will certainly play a role, but if the Mavericks are contending, the picks will be low. Mark Cuban got a taste of postseason basketball once again and he wants to continue to grow.

Dallas was the seventh seed this season. They took the Los Angeles Clippers to a Game 6, but they ultimately did not have enough firepower to keep up.

Adding LaVine would give them that extra boost they need to climb up the standings.
