One unhappy player can shape the entire landscape of the NBA. 

Of course, it depends on who that is. When a role player is griping about his minutes or his role, it won’t move the needle the same way. Their team will trade them when they get the opportunity. 

By contrast, if it’s a star player, fanbases around the NBA will get talking. If it happens to be a star in its prime, that chatter will grow even louder. 

For example, plenty of NBA fans are talking about Jaylen Brown at the moment. He seems to be unhappy in Boston.

There is every reason to believe that Brown will not be a Boston Celtic for long.
