As always, it’s hard to say with any certainty.
Onkongwu doesn’t look like a featured offensive weapon. That’s not his game. He’s a versatile defensive big who’s effective at finishing pick-and-rolls.
That’s all the Knicks would need him to be. Of course, as far as offense is concerned, Onkongwu isn’t even the most significant player the Knicks are adding here.
That would be Terry Rozier. Adding him to a core already featuring Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson ought to make the Knicks potent on the offensive end.
