Why The Minnesota Timberwolves Do The Deal 

Well, there’s a difference between what the Raptors would be doing here and what the Wolves are currently doing. That difference is mobility. 

A Gobert/Towns frontcourt is lacking it. This team struggles to contain perimeter defenders. Their combined lack of speed also forces them to play slowly offensively. 

That wouldn’t be a problem following this deal. Gobert, Jaden McDaniels , and Anunoby would be one of the best defensive front courts in the NBA.

Meanwhile, both Anunoby and Trent Jr. allow the Wolves to pick up the pace on the offensive side.
