In the NBA, talent is the most important factor in determining team success. It isn’t the only one.
Fit counts too. A roster has to make some coherent sense. The players on a team need to complement each other on and off the floor.
The Los Angeles Lakers learned that lesson the hard way recently. LeBron James and Russell Westbrook have tremendous combined talent, but they were never a good fit together.
Now, Westbrook plays for the Los Angeles Clippers. The Minnesota Timberwolves may be similarly learning.
It does not appear that Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert are a good fit together. Finally, the Toronto Raptors may have some fit concerns as well.
Could these three teams come together for a blockbuster deal this summer?
