Potential is an enticing thing. It’s intangible. It makes promises, but it doesn’t always keep them. That applies to NBA players as well.
Some players are oozing with potential, but that doesn’t mean that they’ll meet it. Any time a team acquires a player whose value is in his potential, they’re taking a risk.
As of now, Cam Reddish is all potential. He was a highly touted prospect in high school, but he’s accomplished little at the NBA level so far. It’s getting to a point where we wonder if he ever will.
At the same time, it’s possible that Reddish just needs to find the right team.
He isn’t the only player who’s struggled to complement Trae Young, and he’s quickly fallen out of favor on his current New York Knicks.
Could the Cleveland Cavaliers offer him that home?
