Some people will tell you that it’s never too late to go home. Others will say that home is where the heart is. In some respects, that includes NBA players.

In either case, count yourself lucky if you even have a place that you consider home. Everyone isn’t so fortunate. The warmth of familiarity and comfort is something everyone does not have access to. 

We don’t mean to compare them to the homeless – that would be insensitive. Still, they do live transient lifestyles. An NBA player can settle into a city, only to find out he’s being traded to a completely different one.

On the other hand, Anthony Davis has always retained roots to his hometown of Chicago, even though he’s never played there. At one point, it seemed like he might – he was rumored to be interested in a homecoming when the Lakers traded for him.
