Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal
One thing is certain; the Bulls sure could use a player like peak Davis.
After all, their interior defense was weak last year. Primarily, that was owed to Vucevic’s poor presence on that end of the floor. We’ll dive deeper into that later.
For now, we’ll say this: Davis would be a tremendous upgrade if he’s healthy. In fact, he’d be an upgrade on both ends of the floor. A peak version of Anthony Davis would be, by far, the best player in this trade.
Meanwhile, the Bulls could be in an optimal position to strike. A considerable portion of the NBA will be tanking this season, with a potentially historic NBA draft on the horizon.

The Bulls could do the same, but alternatively, they already have a cast of talented veterans. If Davis looks right, adding him to a core already featuring Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan could vault them to the league’s upper tier.
