1. James Wiseman

Much like Shaedon Sharpe earlier on the list, James Wiseman isn’t in any real danger of losing his roster spot with the Golden State Warriors. However, his long-term standing with the organization could be on the line and Summer League will present a great opportunity for him to start cementing his spot.

Wiseman was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft but has appeared in only 39 games thus far in his career. He tore his meniscus during his rookie season and missed the entire 2021-22 campaign as a result.

Already short on high-level experience because he played in only three games collegiately, things could not have started much worse for Wiseman in his career. He needs to gain experience, but on a team in the position of the Warriors, it is sometimes a tough thing to come by.

Golden State just won the NBA Championship and will be vying for titles as long as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are on the roster. They are hoping this is the start of another dynasty with youngsters such as Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody helping sustain it.

Wiseman will have to prove that he can help the team win and produce when it matters most. Getting on the court and knocking the rust off during Summer League is certainly a step in the right direction. But, if he looks like he still needs more seasoning, the Warriors could look to move him for a more established player that can help them win more now.
