1. Myles Turner
We have reached the pie-in-the-sky option for the Los Angeles Lakers. Based on the rules of the CBA and salary cap, acquiring Myles Turner is something that the Lakers could do with the pairing of Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn.
The likelihood of such a deal being accepted, however, is virtually zero. Myles Turner would garner a ton of attention on the trade market, which means better offers to field than what the Lakers can offer.
The only thing that would possibly pique the Pacers’ interest is if Los Angeles included multiple future first-round picks.
Desperate to turn things around ASAP, that is something the Lakers may consider doing. To find a taker for Horton-Tucker and Nunn, draft capital will likely be needed, unless Los Angeles is taking back significant long-term money.

For the purple and gold, Turner would be a perfect addition to the lineup. His 3-point shooting would provide the required spacing for their Big 3 to have any chance of succeeding.
The rim protection that Myles Turner provides would also help immensely, as he and Davis would combine to be a fearsome duo blocking shots.

The most successful LeBron James-led teams have had plenty of 3-point shooting and defenders. Turner would be the best of both worlds as a stretch-5 that is arguably the best rim defender in the NBA.
