How This Trade Impacts Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz roster is going to look different in the 2022-23 season than it did when they were eliminated by the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 2022 NBA Postseason. While all of the attention is on Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, there are other pieces that could be on the move. Bojan Bogdanovic is one of them.
Now 33-years old and on an expiring deal, the Jazz may not be able to get too much for him. But, a package like this one from the Philadelphia 76ers, should be more than enough, especially if they are entering a semi-rebuild depending on how trade talks with their two All-Stars go.
Utah was in search of wing help ahead of the trade deadline and could be looking for more this offseason. While Danny Green likely won’t be of much help because of his injury, the other players involved could be.
Matisse Thybulle would satisfy that need as he is a defensive ace. However, the coaching staff will have to find a way to make him a useful piece on offense, because he was such a negative on that end of the floor that he was virtually unplayable at times in the postseason.

If you could fuse two players together, combining Thybulle with Forkun Korkmaz’s offensive skills would make for quite a player.
The No. 23 overall pick could net the Jazz another young building block. Or, they could use that in a separate trade to bring in another established player. Getting a look at two younger wings and adding a first-round pick in the process should be considered a win for Utah.
