This 76ers-Jazz Trade Sends Bojan Bogdanovic To Philadelphia

Bojan Bogdanovic, Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, NBA Trade Rumors

The Philadelphia 76ers made a huge blockbuster ahead of the NBA trade deadline when they acquired James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets. Daryl Morey had hoped acquiring Harden would be enough to get the 76ers over the hump and become true contenders.

At least in the first season, that was not the case. Philadelphia once again lost in the second round, this time to the Miami Heat. Harden looked like a shell of himself throughout the postseason, unable to put the team on his back when Joel Embiid was sidelined.

That puts the 76ers in an awkward spot. They have a lot of big-money commitments and are lacking assets to help upgrade the roster otherwise. Despite that, they have been linked to some of the biggest names available this offseason, potentially chasing a third All-Star.

That pursuit would assuredly cost Philadelphia Tyrese Maxey, who broke out in his second season in the NBA. If they want to hold onto Maxey long-term, they will have to get creative when finding other ways to upgrade the roster.
