3. Jalen Brunson
It is no secret that the New York Knicks covet Jalen Brunson. They have been connected to him since last year, as there are a lot of people within the organization that believe he will address their gaping hole at the point guard position.
Leon Rose and Tom Thibodeau are both big fans of his. His father, Jalen Brunson, is being hired as an assistant coach, which will make the Knicks an even bigger draw. But, to make Brunson a realistic target, some work needs to be done.
The Dallas Mavericks will reportedly not help facilitate a sign-and-trade deal, which New York would need to do to fit the contract Brunson is expected to demand into their salary. If Dallas won’t play ball, the Knicks will have to find a team willing to take on players such as Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel, Evan Fournier or Julius Randle.
It would likely cost the Knicks at least the No. 11 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft to facilitate such a deal, as well. Given how desperate they are to add a point guard, it is something that they would likely seriously consider.

Brunson is expected to sign a deal worth at least $20 million annually and with how he performed in the postseason, he is worth the price. However, given the obstacles that the Knicks would have to overcome, it is why Brunson lands at No. 3 on this list.
