Bad Landing Spot: Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards are a team that is in desperate need of a point guard and need to show Bradley Beal they can make roster additions to become winners. Kyrie Irving would be someone that can fill those needs.
He and Beal would be a deadly combo in the Wizards’ backcourt offensively. That level of firepower, with Kristaps Porzingis, would give the Wizards a very high ceiling should things click. However, it would be tough counting on everything going right with that trio.
Porzingis has struggled to stay on the court because of injuries, as has Beal at times. Irving wants to be the leading man, and that may not be possible since this is Beal’s team that he would be joining.
Is that something he would be okay with? The Wizards would likely be willing to take that chance given the current state of the franchise, but it would be extremely risky.
