Good Landing Spot: Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks are going to be on the lookout for an All-Star teammate to pair with Luka Doncic this offseason. The most easily attainable one could very well be Kyrie Irving.
Irving doesn’t come without his flaws, but with the Mavericks, he could be a very good fit. He would take a lot of pressure off of Doncic as someone that is more than capable of running the offense and leading the way. At times Doncic is carrying too much of an offensive load and Irving would help lessen that.
The Mavericks’ need for another ball-handler and scorer would be heightened if Jalen Brunson departs in free agency. Could the two be swapped for each other as part of sign-and-trade deals? The Mavericks and Nets both wouldn’t want to lose their respective scoring guards for nothing, so they may be amenable to a deal.
Irving and Doncic would be the best backcourt duo in the NBA as opponents would struggle mightily slowing the Mavericks down. Continuing to fill out the roster with 3-and-D wings would make them an even more dangerous duo to slow down.

Not being relied upon as the guy, much like in Cleveland with LeBron James, is where Irving found the most success. With the Mavericks, he can experience something similar.
