It wasn’t long ago that Brown’s tenure in Boston was rumored to be coming to a close. Those rumors died a sudden death. The Celtics had the league’s best net rating from the All-Star Break onwards. Barring a dramatic collapse in the postseason, Brown now seems destined to remain in Beantown.
The Denver Nuggets should keep an eye on him anyway. Things change quickly in the National Basketball Association. If the Celtics don’t meet their ultimate goal of winning an NBA championship in the next few seasons, the vultures may start circling Brown’s time in Boston again.

If they do, he’d be a perfect fit with this current Nuggets squad. His defense would be invaluable to a core full of players who struggle on that end, and his secondary shot creation would give an already dominant-on-paper offense a boost.
