James Harden Returning To Form
There has been a lot of attention given to the Philadelphia 76ers heading into the postseason, and rightfully so. They made a huge move ahead of the deadline, acquiring James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets to cement themselves as contenders for the NBA Championship.
For them to achieve that goal, they need Harden to find his form offensively. He has remained an elite playmaker for the team, taking over the lead ball-handling duties. But, his jump shot has remained absent just as it did with the Nets prior to the trade.
It isn’t something that Harden is worried about, as he is confident in himself. He isn’t feeling any pressure despite all of the outside noise being directed at him and his teammates. There is a chance that some of the chatter surrounding them is a little blown out of proportion.
Yes, Harden’s jump shot has not been falling, but the 76ers have been dominant with him on the court with Joel Embiid. Philadelphia has outscored opponents by 15.9 points per 100 possessions with Harden and Embiid sharing the court. For duos that played at least 600 minutes together this season, that is the second-highest mark.
