The 2022 NBA Postseason is on the horizon. The final Play-In Games are being held tonight as the Cleveland Cavaliers are hosting the Atlanta Hawks and the LA Clippers are hosting the New Orleans Pelicans.

Whoever wins those games will earn the No. 8 seeds and matchups against the top team in their respective conferences. In the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat are awaiting their opponent. In the West, it is the Phoenix Suns.

This year’s pursuit of the Larry O’Brien Trophy is one of the more intriguing ones in recent history. While the Suns are the odds on favorite to win the title, there are still plenty of teams that can make a case for being considered the favorites for the title.

The super team route did not pay off this season. The Los Angeles Lakers were favorites to come out of the west but didn’t even make the Play-In Tournament. The Brooklyn Nets, favorites in the east, had to win a Play-In Game to get into the field as a seven seed.
