Buddy Hield
Buddy Hield was a name closely connected to the Los Angeles Lakers Lakers last offseason and could appear in rumors again in the coming months. Many felt he was going to end up in the purple and gold before LA made a blockbuster move for Russell Westbrook.
Like Barnes, Hield brings a floor-spacing element. He is regularly among the league leaders when it comes to three-point makes and attempts. This season, Hield is shooting 36.7% on close to nine attempts per game.
If the Lakers want to maximize the James/Davis pick-and-roll, they need players around them who can open up the floor. Hield can do that and is a shooter the defense has to think twice about leaving open. At 39.4% on catch-and-shoot attempts, he would make a reliable kick-out option.
Contracts could be a roadblock, but this is a move the Lakers might still be able to pull off. With Indiana going into a full-scale rebuild, they might be willing to take a chance on young players like Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn.

This move made a lot of sense last summer and still does. If the Pacers are looking to move off the sharpshooting guard in the offseason, the Lakers should be a team in the mix to acquire him.
