Harrison Barnes
Harrison Barnes is not a flashy name of any sort, but one that checks a lot of boxes for the Los Angeles Lakers Lakers. The 29-year-old is currently averaging 16.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 74 games with the Sacramento Kings.
Since the Kings acquired Domantas Sabonis at the trade deadline, Barnes is likely to be a name on the move this summer. The Lakers’ main issue with a potential deal is putting assets together to match his 18 million dollar salary for next season.
Arguably the biggest thing Barnes gives the Lakers is lineup flexibility. At six-foot-eight, he is capable of playing either forward position. Having another hybrid forward would allow the Lakers to roll out an array of different small and big lineup combinations.
The other area Barnes provides a lift in is three-point shooting. When the Lakers made their championship run in the bubble, their supporting cast was filled with capable floor spacers. Barnes is a career 38% shooter from beyond the arc and shooting above 40% this season. More importantly, he is knocking down close to 43% of his catch-and-shoot attempts.

Having won a championship with the Golden State Warriors, Barnes also has extensive playoff experience. Combine that with his complementing skill set, and he would make a fine addition to the Lakers’ roster.
