Pursue Myles Turner From The Pacers
Building off the idea of moving Davis Bertans, Josh Green, and potentially a draft pick, the Mavericks should look to do so in a trade for Pacers’ big man Myles Turner.
When looking at Dallas’ roster right now, they have things figured out in the backcourt, assuming they re-sign Jalen Brunson, and they look alright on the wing with Tim Hardaway Jr., Dorian Finney-Smith, and Reggie Bullock, but they have little to no talent in their frontcourt.
Maxi Kleber’s upside is very limited, as he is more of a defensive threat than an offensive and rebounding threat, and Dwight Powell is not really a big man that Mavericks should look to keep around too much longer, especially since he is not living up to the value of his $11 million contract for next season.
While his numbers say that he is not that much of a productive offensive talent, Myles Turner is a really solid two-way threat at the center position and has proven to be one of the best defensive players in the entire league over the years.

Myles Turner has led the league in blocks two of the last three seasons and prior to suffering a season-ending foot injury this year, Turner was averaging 2.8 blocks per game, his fourth straight season averaging at least 2.0 blocks per game.
Offensively, Turner can crash the glass, creating second-chance opportunities for his team and since the 2018-19 season, Myles Turner has shot 35% from three-point range.
The Mavericks run a lot of pick-and-roll sets with Luka Doncic as the primary ball-handler and with his ability to find his open teammates, Turner could suddenly become one of the better three-point shooting big men in the entire league due to his ability to pop out to the perimeter in pick-and-roll sets.

Should he be available, this is a no-brainer move for the Mavericks to pursue. Myles Turner is one of the best overall defenders, fills an immediate void left behind by Kristaps Porzingis on this roster and he will be entering the final year of his contract, which is why Dallas would be smart to pursue him in the offseason.
