It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that the 2021-22 NBA regular season began, but here we are now in the month of March, about to enter April, getting ready for the playoffs to begin!

Every team in the league has played at least 70 games now and with less than three weeks remaining in the regular season, there is plenty to talk about around the NBA.

All year long, the talk in the Eastern Conference has been about the improvements almost every team has made. From top-to-bottom, the East has been very competitive all season long and there is still not a definitive answer on who the “team to beat” in this conference is.

The Miami Heat have sat atop of the Eastern Conference standings for numerous weeks now, but the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and now the Boston Celtics are right behind them, trying to prove that they too are worthy of making it to the NBA Finals.

The success of the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Toronto Raptors cannot be overlooked either, nor can the Brooklyn Nets, who are starting to click at the right time and have arguably the greatest scorer in the league, when healthy, in Kevin Durant.

Out in the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns have made it very clear that they are the “team to beat” this season, as they are currently zeroing in on their franchise record for wins in a season that currently stands at 62 wins.

Behind Phoenix, the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors continue to go back-and-forth for the 2-seed and there is a lot of drama unfolding at the bottom of the standings with the New Orleans Pelicans, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, and Portland Trail Blazers all fighting for the final 9-seed and 10-seed spots in the Western Conference play-in tournament.

The rest of the season will surely provide a lot of fireworks, as could all the potential moves coming up in the offseason.

The futures of some superstar players in this league continue to be questioned and some teams who made the playoffs last year, but will miss them this year could look to be super aggressive in their hunt for more talent in free agency and on the trade block.

Between the playoffs coming up and offseason rumors already in effect, there is a lot to talk about in regards to the NBA moving forward.
